Each player randomly draws a Monster or Hero faction card that he or she will keep secret: other players will not know what faction you belong to, which allows you to bluff during the game.
During the game you can play a card from your hand or draw a new card. Each card may give you positive points or negative points. In addition, each card represents a character with a special ability that you can use to your advantage.
Dracula can control the forces of darkness; Van Helsing can eliminate the undead; and Frankenstein's Monster can clean up. The game ends when the last card is drawn. At that point each player will reveal their faction and count the points they have earned. Heroes vs. Monsters is a very easy game to learn and a lot of fun to play.
There are 18 different characters in a 30-card deck. Some characters are common, but others are powerful and unique. In addition, each faction card has a secret mission that can award you extra victory points if you control a certain character at the end of the game. This means that some cards may be more useful than others in winning the game!
