âWar of the Worlds: New Invasionâ is an asymmetrical map-based deck-building game for 2 players.
One player will be in charge of the Alien invasion forces and the other will be in charge of the United Kingdom defense forces. Each player will have a custom starting deck to draw from and reinforce along the game, with specific cards from their faction. The objective to achieve victory will also differ, as will the strategies needed to defeat the opponent.
The events of the game take place a few years after the story told in the novel âThe War of the Worldsâ by Herbert G. Wells.
A new extraterrestrial invasion is underway, but this time the Martians have arrived aboard a huge spaceship and landed in an isolated region of Scotland!
